The rarest of them all! 🎸😱 Yes, that’s one of the few original Chromeboys, the Ibanez JS2-CH from 1990. Joe Satriani had asked time and again for a chrome-plated guitar. The realization of the Chromeboy turned into a challenging and lenghty project for Ibanez. Unfortunately, problems with the chroming process of the JS2-CH’s Basswood body finally led to the tough decision to not produce and distribute this model. So only a handful prototypes of these guitars exist - most of them owned by Satch himself - making this one of the most collectible and valuable Ibanez guitars ever 🔥🤩
